The Medical Concert® Teledermatology solution gives GPs and/or nurse practitioners direct, remote access to consulting Dermatologist's expertise. It can be used to support a range of community based dermatology services for example consultant e-derma clinics, GP with special interest e-derma clinics and nurse practitioner e-derma clinics. The GP or nurse practitioner provides the consultant with patient assessments and photographic images in an electronic patient dataset that is sent via a secure server for remote reporting. Consulting Dermatologists can then access their worklist, either at work or at home and diagnose and triage patients as appropriate. Reports for GPs are returned automatically from the consultant's on-line reporting session. In most cases, care plans can be derived without the need for a face to face appointment, allowing those who do require an out-patient appointment to be seen quickly.
